The opening of our inductive parking lot

As part of the research project CETeCAR (Contactless Energy Transfer Electric CAR) funded by the Vector Foundation, a parking lot for inductive charging of electric vehicles was developed at the Institute for Electrical Energy Conversion (IEW) at the University of Stuttgart. The parking spot is located on the university campus in Stuttgart-Vaihingen. At a charging capacity of 3 kW, a DC/DC efficiency of 96 % is achieved.

This was celebrated yesterday, 25.09.2017, during a small opening ceremony with the first successful loading process.

The Council of the Vectorstiftung (from left: Martin LItschel, Dr. Helmut Schelling, Eberhard Hinderer) together with Institute Director Nejila Parspour and Mike Böttigheimer gave the starting signal for inductive charging at IEW.
